Bitcoin dominates the market as the BTC/USD pair trades above $6,300, making it this year's highest price, as Ethereuem, Ripple, and more deal with losses.
BTC/USD
Bitcoin (BTC) hit an all-time high in 2019 as it went past US$6,300 today, May 10, riding on a strong bullish momentum. BTC/USD is trading at $6,346.19 at the time of writing, with a 3.37% change in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin dominance strengthened as it earlier breached 58 percent, hitting the highest level reached since December 2017. With Bitcoin’s bullish movements, altcoins found themselves in the losing end. Some altcoins even registered a one to 10 percent loss.

ETH/USD
Ethereum (ETH) in the early hours dipped to $166.54 before recovering in midday.
ETH/USD yesterday opened and closed below the $170 mark, but the pair has regained momentum to trade above $175. ETH is trading at $173.74 at the time of writing, with a 0.66 percent in the last 24 hours.
XRP/USD
This week has been tragic for Ripple (XRP) as its price plunged to $0.2927 today, coming off a decent midweek performance.
XRP/USD trades below the $0.30 mark at the time of writing at $0.2989, which is a clear contrast of the BTC/USD pair dominance in the past days.
