No accounts, no newsletter

You can read every page on CoinChoose without registering. The site no longer offers user accounts, comments, a newsletter or submission forms, so we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details while you browse.

Analytics

We may use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views and understand which guides are useful. It is configured to work without cookies and does not build a profile of you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as the page visited, the referring site, the browser type, the device category and the country derived from the connection. We use these figures only in aggregate to improve the site.

Cookies and trackers

CoinChoose does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels from social networks or ad networks, or third-party retargeting. The site itself does not need cookies to work. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Server logs and security

Like any website, our hosting and content-delivery providers process technical data such as IP addresses and request details in order to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. These logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting and are not used for marketing.

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and, where you report an error, to check and correct a page. Our guides link to exchanges, wallet makers, regulators and other sources. Some outbound links may be referral links. Once you leave CoinChoose, the other site’s own privacy policy applies, and those platforms will usually collect identity information under their own legal duties.
